The Christian County Welcome Center and Rest Area will reopen to the public on Monday, following an extended closure.
According to a news release from the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, the Welcome Center along I-24 westbound near the Kentucky-Tennessee line has been closed since March 25 to allow for major upgrades to the drainage system, with the parking lot limited to large trucks and commercial vehicles only.
The facility will resume normal business hours, welcoming visitors from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily.
