Students from Christian County and Hopkinsville High Schools have been selected to attend the Governor’s School for the Arts.
According to the Christian County Public School System, Aine Dunn and Lacey Stewart from Christian County High and Andrew Buxton from Hopkinsville High have been selected to attend the 2024 Governor’s School for the Arts, which offers a platform for students to express their gifts and talents through a summer enrichment program.
Superintendent Chris Bentzel says, “We’re extremely proud of the selected students and acknowledge the dedication they’ve shown in earning this honor.”
The Governor’s School for the Arts is composed of nine different art disciplines and the three-week long program is open to aspiring high school sophomores and juniors in Kentucky and is valued at nearly $4,000 per student, however, there is no cost to the participants for the program.
