Christian Co. Grand Jury returns murder indictment

A Christian County Grand Jury has returned an indictment for first-degree murder against Kamron Snyder of Herndon.

That charge stems from the February shooting death of Khalil Buckner of Hopkinsville at a location on North McPherson Avenue. Officers has responded to North McPherson for reports of a shooting and once on scene, discovered the 27-year-old Buckner with a gunshot wound to the chest.

Officers would administer first aid on Buckner, who would be flown to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville where he would later succumb to his injuries.

An arrest warrant was issued for Snyder following an investigation, and he was arrested in Allen County, Ohio on February 27. He was then extradited back to Christian County, where he is lodged in the Christian County Jail on a $500,000 bond.
