Maurice Watkins of Owensboro was arrested in Owensboro for robbery on Tuesday after an investigation connected to an armed robbery at a Dollar General Store on West 7th Street on Friday.
According to a news release from the Hopkinsville Police Department, Watkins was arrested through a collaborative effort between the Henderson Police Department, Owensboro Police Department and the Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office.
Watkins was charged with first-degree robbery and will be extradited to back to Christian County. He also faces additional robbery charges in other Kentucky counties.
