As the sun set, kids and their families gathered at Tie Breaker Park on Friday for the annual Nighttime WHOP’er of an Egg Hunt where around 20,000 Easter eggs were up for grabs.
The Easter eggs contained candy and tickets to prizes such as stuffed animals, toy cars, action figures, and more. However the biggest prize of the evening was $98.70 which went to 4-year-old Ha’miyah Harris who says she wants to spend the money on toys.
Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation Superintendent Toby Hudson said the weather for the hunt could not have been better and was happy with the turnout.
It was estimated that around 2,500 people attended this year’s egg hunt.
