Street renaming ceremony set to honor Hopkinsville pastor

The City of Hopkinsville and First Street Missionary Baptist Church are inviting the community to a street renaming ceremony to honor local pastor, C.E. Timberlake and his wife Kimberly Timberlake.

After a request was filed by the church, the Hopkinsville City Council unanimously approved the renaming of Quarry Street to “Pastor C.E. Timberlake Way.” A news release from the city shared that the ceremony is a testament to the profound impact Timberlake and his wife have had on the community and its residents.

The pair were elated, humbled and deeply grateful to be honored by the street renaming, according to the release. Hopkinsville Mayor J.R. Knight says Pastor C. E. Timberlake’s commitment to serving the Hopkinsville community spans nearly four decades and he is proud to recognize him and name a street in his honor.

The street renaming ceremony will take place on April 3 at 5 p.m. at First Street Missionary Baptist Church at 812 Moayan Street.
