The familiar sound of laughter and the running of many feet will return to Tie Breaker Park for the Nighttime WHOP’er of an Egg Hunt on March 29.
Children will do their best to gather up as many eggs as they can on the baseball fields starting at 7:30 p.m. sharp that Friday, with Rachel Sanders of Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation saying they’ll be handing out some flashlights and glow sticks that night, but people should bring their own just in case, and the nighttime setting has added some fun to the traditional egg hunt.
She says there’s more than just candy up for grabs—many eggs will contain prize numbers, and one person will take home the grand prize of $98.70.
There will be over 20,000 eggs laid out over the different fields, which are designated for the different age groups, with prize tables located at each field.
Make sure you grab your free Egg Hunting License, as that’s what enters you in for a chance to win the grand prize. They can be found in advance at The Little Things Boutique, the Christian County Health Department, The Closet Marketplace Vendor Mall, White’s Auto Mall and the Community Medical Clinic of Hopkinsville.
Registration will come to a close the day of at 7:15 p.m. and people are advised to come early to make sure kids are ready to run as soon as the starting horn is sounded by the Hopkinsville Fire Department at 7:30 promptly.
