A Hopkinsville man has been arrested after he allegedly was pointing a gun at people on North Kentucky Avenue Wednesday afternoon.
According to the Hopkinsville police report, officers responded to the 100 block of North Kentucky for reports that an individual was pointing a gun at people and threatening to shoot them. Upon arrival, contact was made with 22-year-old Dustin Berry of Hopkinsville, who reportedly had what was determined to be a BB gun tucked into the small of his back.
Witnesses told officers they believed it to be a real gun, as it was modeled after a handgun, causing them to retrieve their own gun to protect themselves and others.
Berry was arrested and charged with second-degree wanton endangerment, third-degree terroristic threatening and second-degree disorderly conduct.
