A Hopkinsville man is facing a charge related to child pornography following an investigation by the Hopkinsville Police Department.
According to the police report, officers arrested 18-year-old Donovan Hotson of Hopkinsville after investigation into material depicting child sexual abuse was uploaded to an internet messaging site, including videos involving the sexual assault of a child under the age of 12.
A search of Hotson’s phone reportedly located the Gmail account that uploaded the images, and further investigation revealed messages between Hotson and other users detailing images and videos of child sexual abuse.
Hotson was arrested and charged with distribution of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor under the age of 12.
