Hopkinsville Electric System and the Tennessee Valley Authority teamed up recently to extend the 2024 Community Care Fund program.
HES/energynet financial contributions were matched by the TVA to provide funding for the United Way of the Pennyrile, Sanctuary, Inc., Pennyroyal Hospice Kamp Sunrise, the Boys and Girls Club of Hopkinsville, the Hopkinsville-Christian County Imagination Library and Men 2 Be in varying amounts.
The TVA says they know that local power companies understand their communities and their needs and how this money can be of aid to the people they serve.
HES says they will continue to ensure the community and the people are their top priority.
