After being arrested in Ohio, the man accused in the February shooting death of Khailil Buckner was extradited back to Christian County and arraigned in Christian District Court Wednesday.
Twenty-four-year-old Kamron Snyder of Lima, Ohio appeared virtually before Judge Lindsey Adams from the Christian County Jail—his attorney, Sean Pharr, entered a not-guilty plea on Snyder’s behalf and asked that a preliminary hearing be set, with Judge Adams setting one for next Wednesday.
The fatal shooting happened on February 26 on North McPherson Avenue. Officers has responded to North McPherson around 5:30 p.m. for reports of a shooting and once on scene, discovered the 27-year-old Buckner with a gunshot wound to the chest.
Officers would administer first aid on Buckner, who would be flown to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville where he would later succumb to his injuries.
An arrest warrant was issued for Snyder following an investigation, and he was arrested in Allen County, Ohio on February 27.
