A Christian County Grand Jury has returned several indictments, including for assault, robbery, wanton endangerment and more.
Indicted for first-degree robbery, second-degree assault, third-degree criminal mischief and resisting arrest is 57-year-old Merle Watkins of Hopkinsville. He allegedly tried to remove merchandise from a store on North Main Street in January and when confronted by employees, Watkins reportedly began struggling with them, using a knife to cut an employee on the arm, and then used a fire extinguisher to break the glass on the locked door.
Indicted for two counts of first-degree wanton endangerment, two counts first-degree fleeing or evading police, possession of a controlled substance, criminal possession of a forged instrument, first-degree criminal mischief, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia and multiple traffic violations is 23-year-old Javonta Collins of Hopkinsville. The charges stem from an incident in January.
The grand jury indicted 41-year-old David Graham of Hopkinsville for second-degree burglary and first-degree fleeing or evading police after he allegedly entered a residence without permission in December with the intent to committing a crime and then fleeing from officers.
Sixty-two-year-old Joseph Chesnut of Hopkinsville was also indicted for second-degree burglary, along with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia following an incident in January of this year. As is 40-year-old Paul Thurston and 37-year-old Bishop Howard, both of Hopkinsville, on the same charges.
Indicted for second-degree burglary, first-degree stalking and violation of a Kentucky EPO is 45-year-old Bradley Ealey of Hopkinsville, who allegedly entered a residence on Otis Circle without permission in November and placed the female victim in reasonable fear of her safety.
