Murder suspects Tyron Holt and Omega Plaisime appeared in Christian Circuit Court on Wednesday where a trial date and a final pretrial conference was set in case a resolution is not reached in mediation.
Holt is charged with complicity to murder and Plaisime is charged with murder in the 2022 shooting death of 18-year-old Gailon Toler. Holt’s defense attorney, Jarrod Jackson and Plaisime’s defense attorney, James Greene shared with Circuit Judge Andrew Self that they are working toward mediation.
In order to set up mediation a trial date has to be set up as well, so Self a set trial date for the week of August 12.
If a resolution is not reached through mediation, then Holt’s and Plaisime’s cases will go to trial. The pair will reappear in court for their final pretrial conference on July 10.
