Hopkinsville Police issue arrest warrant for shooting death suspect

After investigating a shooting that resulted in the death of 27-year-old Khailil Buckner of Hopkinsville on Monday, the Hopkinsville Police Department have issued an arrest warrant for the suspected shooter.

According to a press release from police, a warrant was issued for the arrest of 24-year-old Kamron Snyder of Lima, Ohio for the offense of murder. Snyder was arrested in Allen County, Ohio and he is pending extradition back to Kentucky.

According to Public Information Officer, Collette Marfil the shooting occurred around 5:30 p.m. on Monday at a residence on North McPherson Avenue. At the scene officers found Buckner with a gunshot wound to the chest.

Officers would administer first aid on Buckner who would later be flown to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville where he would succumb to his injuries.
