Local deputies arrest Hopkinsville man for breaking and entering

Deputies from the Christian County Sheriff’s Office arrested 34-year-old Justin Morris of Hopkinsville after he reportedly broke into a home while he was intoxicated on Friday.

According to a report from the office, a resident on Butler Road called 911 after Morris broke into their home by breaking windows and kicking in their door. The caller and other individuals with them were reportedly able to detain Morris until deputies arrived.

When deputies arrived at the home, Morris reportedly told them that he was an agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation trying to kill a grizzly bear being kept in the home. After this and other bizarre claims from Morris, deputies believed that he was under the influence of some type of narcotics.

Morris was charged with first-degree burglary, public intoxication, disorderly conduct and first-degree criminal mischief.
