Two individuals were taken to the hospital following a crash on the Pennyrile Parkway Friday evening.
According to the report from the Christian County Sheriff’s Department, the rear-end collision happened when a vehicle driven by 35-year-old Crystal Diamond of Hopkinsville slowed to a near stop in the right lane to let another vehicle merge onto the Parkway near the seven-mile marker.
That’s when another vehicle traveling in the right lane, operated by 58-year-old Opal Brown of Dawson Springs, collided with the rear of Diamond’s vehicle, causing severe damage.
Both Diamond and Brown were transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment of injuries. Everyone involved was wearing a seat belt.
