Local woman charged with burglary, criminal mischief

A Hopkinsville woman is facing several charges following investigation into an incident on Koffman Drive Tuesday morning. 

According to the police report, officers responded to a residence in the 100 block of Koffman where the victim was doing work to an apartment for the complex. The victim told officers that 35-year-old Marissa Joy of Hopkinsville had entered the apartment without permission and refused to leave. She allegedly struck the victim in the arm.

The victim was able to show officers video of the incident. The victim also discovered that the tires on his vehicles were punctured and flat.

Joy was located later at her place of employment and taken into custody. She is charged with third-degree burglary, fourth-degree assault and third-degree criminal mischief.
