Hopkinsville Councilmember arraigned in Circuit Court

A Hopkinsville City Councilmember was arraigned in Christian Circuit Court Wednesday morning.

Jaime Lienberger, who represents Ward 9 currently, was indicted by a Christian County Grand Jury on one count of tampering with a witness, which is a felony. The charge is in relation to an incident in October, where Daniella Maleno is facing charges of first-degree criminal abuse of a child under 12 years of age and tampering with a witness.

Lienberger is being represented by defense attorney Sands Chewning, who entered a not guilty plea on her behalf and requested the evidence in the case.

A pretrial hearing was set for April 3. Lienberger was served with a complaint warrant in November, with the Oak Grove Police Department investigating.
