Local man charged with second-degree burglary

Hopkinsville police have charged a man with second-degree burglary after he allegedly broke down the door of a residence on Loftus Drive and entered without permission. 

According to the police report, 42-year-old Larry Cooper allegedly kicked in the victim’s door, breaking it, after being told to leave on Sunday, after being forced to leave the residence the day before.  After kicking in the door, Cooper reportedly went into the home and refused to leave until officers arrived. 

Cooper was arrested and charged with second-degree burglary.
