Local rehabilitation nonprofit, Grace and Mercy is inviting the community to celebrate their ninth graduating class and to support their biggest fundraiser yet to expand upon the support they provide to those in need.
Grace and Mercy is a one to two year Christian nonprofit program in Hopkinsville that opened in 2015 to provide support and housing to women who have recently been incarcerated in order to help them find employment and reunite with their children.
Paula Halcomb from the Grace and Mercy Board shared that the theme for this year’s graduation is “Honor and Glory.” Those graduating from the program will speak about their journeys at Grace and Mercy and alumni will share what life looks following graduation.
Along with their upcoming graduation, Grace and Mercy is hosting their 2024 fundraiser with the hope of raising $200,000 by graduation night and Halcomb says they are well on their way.
On Tuesday, Grace and Mercy shared that they had raised around $62,000 toward their goal so far. Halcomb says the funds will allow them to continue their work in the community as well as possibly establish apartments for program graduates.
Grace and Mercy’s ninth graduation will be on Thursday, February 22 at 6 p.m. at New Work Fellowship. Those interested in attending or virtually watching the graduation and learning more about their fundraiser can go to graceandmercyky.org.
