Hopkinsville Police notified deputies from the Christian County Sheriff’s Office regarding a 14-year-old minor that was found to allegedly be operating a stolen vehicle on Sunday.
According to a report from the Sheriff’s Office, they were notified by police regarding a teenager that was operating a vehicle that was found to have been stolen from a county residence. Deputies had reportedly dealt with the teenager earlier that day at a previous call on Bennettstown Street.
Deputies reportedly interviewed the minor where he admitted to stealing the vehicle. The teenager was charged with theft by unlawful taking of an automobile and operating a vehicle without license.
The teenager is currently lodged at the McCracken County Juvenile Detention Facility and the stolen truck was returned to the owner.
