Grand jury returns superseding indictment for murder, kidnapping

Bobby Spikes, the man charged with murder in the death of Stanley Bussell, is now facing additional charges after a superseding indictment was handed down by a Christian County Grand Jury Friday.

Spikes now faces two counts of murder, for the deaths of Bussell and Candace Marcel, who was found deceased in a vehicle in Trigg County, which lead to the search and ultimately discovery of Bussell on Clearman Court in 2021.  The indictment alleges Spikes shot both victims in the head.

He’s also indicted for two counts of robbery in the first degree, kidnapping, tampering with physical evidence and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.

Thirty-three-year-old Candice Gray of Central City was indicted for second-degree assault—she’s accused of using a dangerous instrument to cause physical injury to a victim in November in Christian County.

The grand jury indicted 42-year-old Shannon Rose of Clarksville with four counts of first-degree wanton endangerment, three counts of fourth-degree assault and third-degree criminal mischief for an incident in November where she allegedly assaulted three individuals, hitting one of them with a car and endangering others.
