The Hopkinsville-Christian County Family YMCA has announced that Shelton Burruss will be stepping into the role of Program Director.
According to a news release, Burruss brings a wealth of diverse experience to the role—a graduate of Trigg County High School, Burruss furthered his education at Jacksonville University in Jacksonville, FL. During his time at the university, he distinguished himself as a dedicated individual and an active member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
Following his academic pursuits, Burruss pursued a professional basketball career in Spain, demonstrating his dedication to excellence both on and off the court.
Burruss previously served at the local YMCA in the membership department, providing assistance to the team in numerous areas. In this new role, he will be responsible for overseeing and developing youth and adult programs, summer camp and specialty camps, along with aquatics programming.
