Woman charged with wanton endangerment, reckless driving

A Hopkinsville woman has been arrested after she allegedly tried to run a vehicle off the road Monday on Fort Campbell Boulevard. 

According to the Hopkinsville police report, 44-year-old Cynthia Fontilus of Hopkinsville attempted to run a car containing a couple and their children off the roadway, at one point coming to complete stop in front of their vehicle on Fort Campbell Boulevard near Lovers Lane.

The incident concluded at the Love’s gas station, where a brief physical altercation took place before officers arrived on scene. 

The driver of the victim’s vehicle had a domestic violence order against Fontilus—the victim reportedly showed officers video of the incident happening. 

Fontilus was arrested and charged with first-degree wanton endangerment, reckless driving, violation of a Kentucky emergency protective order and violation of IPO.
