A Todd County home on Tress Shop Road was destroyed by fire Tuesday night.
According to Trenton Fire Department Chief Jon Stahl, firefighters responded to the 7900 of Tress Shop Road for reports of a large residential fire, and upon arrival, found the house fully involved.
Both the house and a detached garage/apartment were destroyed, with no one injured in the incident.
High winds contributed to the rapid spread of the fire and hampered firefighters’ efforts to extinguish and control the blaze.
Along with Trenton, the Guthrie, Fairview and Elkton Fire Departments, Todd County Emergency Management, Chaplains, Todd County Sheriff’s Department and the Trenton Police Department assisted at the scene.
