Deputies from the Logan County Sheriff’s Department responded to a collision between a tractor trailer and a passenger vehicle on Sunday which resulted in injuries.
According to a report from the department, Mackinzi Cross of Adairville and Dominic Watson of Russellville were traveling westbound on Wilhelm Road when for unknown reasons they traveled into the path of a tractor trailer driven by Rodney McGuffie of Louisiana.
McGuffie was traveling northbound on Nashville Road when the passenger vehicle struck the passenger side of the tractor trailer. After the collision Cross’ and Watson’s vehicle exited the roadway into a ditch and proceeded to overturn approximately twice.
Deputies found that speeding and inattentiveness may have been contributing factors to the wreck. Cross and Watson were transported to Northcrest Hospital for their injuries and McGuffie was transported to Logan Memorial Hospital for his injuries.
