A Lafayette man is facing strangulation and assault charges after he allegedly assaulted a woman Saturday morning.
That’s according to the Christian County Sheriff’s Department, who reports that deputies responded to a residence in the 100 block of White Street in Lafayette for reports of an assault. Investigation determined that 23-year-old Steven White had called and told dispatchers that he had assault a woman at that residence.
It was determined that White allegedly struck the victim and choked her, cutting off her airway.
He was arrested and charged with strangulation and fourth-degree assault.
