The Christian County Sheriff’s Department has released details on a semi-truck crash that shutdown Newstead Road for several hours Wednesday and sent a man to the hospital.
According to the collision report, the tractor-trailer operated by 46-year-old Jason Lee of Louisiana was heading westbound on KY 164 near the nine mile-marker when it ran off the right side of the road, flipping onto its passenger side and striking multiple trees. It completely blocked the roadway of Newstead.
Lee told deputies that he felt the load in the trailer shift, causing him to lose control of the truck. There were multiple large spools of coiled steel both inside and outside of the trailer.
Lee was transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment of multiple injuries.
