Lady Colonels drop home game against Bowling Green 59-40

On Tuesday night, the Lady Purples of Bowling Green used a strong second have to propel themselves to a 59-40 win against Christian Co.

The Lady Colonels found themselves hanging toe-to-toe with Bowling Green all up until around midway through the 3rd quarter.

In the second half, Bowling Green outscored Christian Co. 34-19.

The Lady Purples were led in scoring by Katy Smiley who erupted in the second half scoring 14 of her 18 points. Right behind her in scoring was NaTaya Wardlow with 14.

For the Lady Colonels, they were led by Lazarie Daniel with 14 points and Anaysia Bagwell with 10.

For Bagwell, in a rare occurrence, she had an off-shooting night going 4-22 from the field and 1-11 from the 3pt line.

Next up for the Lady Colonels will be an 8th District Championship rematch from a season ago on Friday where Christian Co. will try and defeat Hopkinsville once again.
