Significant damage was done to parts of Todd County and Montgomery County Saturday afternoon after an apparent tornado made its way through the area.
Trenton Fire Chief John Stahl tells WHOP News that there was catastrophic damage on East Lester Chapel Road, where a horse was killed by injuries caused during the storm. There were also reports of significant damage on U.S. Highway 79 in the Guthrie area and more damage reported near Allensville.
Pennyrile Electric reported numerous outages in Todd and Logan Counties due to down trees and power lines, putting thousands of members in the dark for some time.
The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department reported damages to multiple homes in the Garrettsburg Road area, especially in the Hand Estates vicinity, while the Clarksville Police Department reported significant damage in the northern parts of Clarksville.
There was no reports of damage in Christian County. Residents are asked to stay off of the roads as first responders work to clean up damage.
