One arrested in Glass Avenue shots fired incident

The Hopkinsville Police Department has charged a Princeton man in relation to a shooting incident that happened at the Max Fuel on Glass Avenue from Thursday afternoon. 

According to the police report, a call of shots fired coming from the gas station came in about 5:10 p.m. and upon arrival, officers learned that 34-year-old Lametre Riley of Princeton had allegedly fired a handgun at another subject.  Riley had reportedly been in a physical altercation with another person when the incident occurred. 

The report states there were numerous bystanders on scene and evidence at the scene identified Riley as the shooter.

Riley was arrested and charged with attempted first-degree assault, first-degree wanton endangerment, prohibited shooting in city limits and second-degree disorderly conduct.
