The Hopkinsville Nighttime Christmas Parade is set to go on rain or shine this Saturday starting at 5:15 p.m. downtown with a theme of “Reviving Christmas”.
According to a news release, Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation is keeping a close eye on the weather with the intent to go on with the show even in the event of rain—the only exception would be in the case of severe weather or hazardous conditions. Any official weather-related announcements will be made on the Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation Department Facebook page.
The parade will get underway on Glass Avenue and make its way south on Main Street to 14th street. Glass Avenue will be blocked from 2:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. All side streets on Glass Avenue from North Drive to Main Street will be blocked during that same time frame. All side streets on Main Street from Glass Avenue to 14th Street will be blocked from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m.
There will be no parking on Main Street from Glass Avenue to 14th Street.
