Hopkinsville man charged with burglary, fleeing or evading

A Hopkinsville man has been charged with first-degree burglary, fleeing or evading police and more after he allegedly assaulted a woman Friday morning.

The Christian County Sheriff’s Department responded to a home in the 100 block of East Otis Circle around 8 a.m. Friday for reports of an assault. The victim told deputies that 45-year-old Bradley Ealey entered the home and struck them repeatedly on the head with a handgun.

A few hours later, the Hopkinsville Police Department located Ealey operating a vehicle on West 15the Street and initiated a traffic stop, which is when Ealey allegedly fled at a high rate of speed.

The brief pursuit ended on North Drive when Ealey reportedly made a hard stop, causing damage to the front of a law enforcement vehicle.  He was combative with officers and resisted, allegedly making threats to officers.

He was arrested and charged with first-degree burglary, violation of an emergency protective order, fleeing or evading police, first-degree criminal mischief, resisting arrest, terroristic threatening and several traffic violations.
