Trees for Troops is set to take place on Fort Campbell on Saturday and officials say they’re expecting roughly 200 trees on hand that day.
From Noon until 4 p.m. at the 101st Airborne Division Parade Field at 6390 Desert Storm Avenue where trees will be available to junior enlisted service members and their families from noon until 2 p.m., and then trees will be available to all active duty service members from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. until all trees are gone.
ID cards will be checked and individuals are asked to make sure they are able to safely transport a tree.
Trees for Troops brings together FedEx, the Christmas SPIRIT Foundation and tree farmers across America to deliver real Christmas trees to service members stationed across the U.S. and overseas. Since the Trees for Troops program launched in 2005, FedEx has shipped almost 300,000 real Christmas trees to service members and their Families.
