On Thursday night, the Heritage Christian Warriors hosted the Union Co. Braves for their second game of the season.
For Union Co. it was their first game and they were able to pull away with a dominant 71-35 victory.
After the first quarter the Braves only led 16-7, but a 44-14 run between the second and third quarters combined, put the game out of reach for the Warriors.
During the run, Union Co. used a quick transition offense, which provided them a lot of scoring opportunities.
Leading the Braves in scoring were sophomores Daishawn Curry (21) and Cortayvion Rapier (18).
Heritage Christian was led in scoring by junior Jason Leek once again with 14 points and senior Bradley Boyd finished with 8.
With the loss the Warriors move to 1-1 on the season and will face their first road test on Saturday against Dawson Springs.
