Rear end collision results in possible injury

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two-vehicle rear-end collision that occurred on the Edward T. Breathitt Parkway on Tuesday.

According to a report from the Sheriff’s Office, the collision occurred as Joshua McGhee of Hopkinsville was yielding to oncoming traffic at the end of the exit 11 southbound ramp of the Parkway. As McGhee was yielding a van driven by Thea Brown of Hopkinsville reportedly approached the same yield and rear-ended McGhee’s vehicle.

The report cites Brown for failing to yield to the right of way, following to close and inattention, resulting in the collision. Brown was traveling with two other passengers and none of them reported having any injuries.

McGhee was traveling with a passenger who reportedly did not have any injuries, but McGhee was transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for neck pain.
