A Hopkinsville man is facing felony theft charges in connection with a U-Haul trailer that was reported stolen from Fort Campbell Boulevard.
According to the Hopkinsville police report, the U-Haul trailer had been reported stolen earlier in the day on Monday, and officers were able to locate the vehicle that still had the trailer attached to it at a residence on Younglove Street.
Contact was made with 42-year-old Robert Rivas of Hopkinsville, who reportedly told officers he had taken it out of desperation.
He was arrested and charged with felony theft by unlawful taking and felony receiving stolen property.
