On Tuesday night, the Heritage Christian Academy Warriors hosted and defeated the Clarksville Christian Centurions 65-40.
The Warriors overall played a complete game but it was a 23 point third quarter for Heritage Christian that really put the nail in the coffin.
The Warriors were led by junior Jason Leek with 23 points and he also led the charge defensively with 7 steals.
Before the game, Matt McGowan was asked about players that he expects to have breakout seasons and one of his answers was freshman Layton Giltner.
Meeting expectations was Giltner as he was a force to be reckoned with posting 18 points, 12 rebounds, and 5 blocks.
The Centurions were led in scoring by Brady Cardwell with 11 points.
Next up for Heritage Christian will be another home game on Thursday night as they will host the Union Co. Braves. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. and our F&M Bank Pregame show will begin at 6:45 p.m. on 95.3 The Farm.
