While the start of the work week has been impacted by below average temperatures the week is set to warm up and there is chance for rain toward the weekend.
In their weekly weather conference call, Rachel Trevino with the National Weather Service in Paducah says the temperatures will climb toward above average levels on Wednesday with rain expected on Thursday through Friday along with a slight chance of rain during the weekend.
Trevino says some areas will get a little over an inch of rain which is needed as precipitation rates have been below average.
Following this week Trevino says the above average temperatures are set to continue along with below average precipitation levels. As of right now snow, Trevino says snow is not looking very likely.
As winter weather approaches Trevino says the weather service will be hosting a Facebook live stream focusing on winter weather safety and preparedness on December 5 at 7 p.m.
