The Museums of Historic Hopkinsville-Christian County is hosting the next History on Tap on November 30 at 6:30 p.m. at Hopkinsville Brewing Company.
According to a news release, Paulette Nance Robinson will discuss her life as a Black child growing up in Hopkinsville in the 1960s. Her stories will offer insight into the changes from a purely segregated town and educational system, through the process of integration.
Then, Kamarr Richee, pastor of youth and community engagement at Edgewood Baptist Church, will lead a conversation about how those experiences connect to issues in our community today. This conversation is an extension of the podcast “Been Pastoring Through Some Hard Times” hosted by three local ministers including Richee.
History on Tap is a free series that seeks to share local history in a relaxed setting, and programs are typically held on the last Thursday of the month at 6:30pm at Hopkinsville Brewing Company.
