Rain to start the week, then drier with cooler temperatures

The week is going to start out warm and rainy, before trending cooler and drier in time for Thanksgiving and the weekend.

The best chance of rain for the area is Monday night into Tuesday, with National Weather Service in Paducah Forecaster Sean Poulos saying there will linger some rain chances later in the week, but the bulk of it will fall Monday night—some places could maybe see two inches.

That will really cool things off, with temperatures averaging in the 40’s and 50’s the rest of the week.

In the 8-to-14-day outlook, things are trending cooler than average, with not much in the outlook at this time for precipitation.

November got off to a dry start for the region, with some areas to our west and north having not received any rain at all, so this system will bring welcome relief to those dry conditions.
