A former district judge in Todd and Logan counties was arrested by the Logan County Sheriff’s Department and is facing numerous charges in relation to a disturbance near Auburn Elementary School.
According to the Logan County Sheriff’s Department, parents were attending a Thanksgiving event at the elementary school and reported to the School Resource Officer that there was a woman with a knife in a parking lot close to the school, threatening to cut parents’ tires.
The SRO responded to a nearby parking lot at 141 North Lincoln Street and reportedly saw the suspect slaw two tires on a vehicle—he confronted her as she was holding the knife over her head. The suspect, identified as Sue Carol Browning, fled into a building that was her personal business.
She allegedly disposed of the knife while inside before being taken into custody.
Browning is charged with tampering with physical evidence, second-degree fleeing or evading police, menacing, criminal mischief and disorderly conduct.
