Milling and paving work is underway at I-24 and U.S. 62 in Lyon County.
According to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, the work zone is part of bridge approach and ramp milling and paving operations at numerous locations along Interstate 24 and Interstate 69. A contractor plans milling and paving at the I-24/U.S. 62 Eddyville-Kuttawa Exit 40 Interchange starting Monday, with a paving crew set to return to the area for paving during the week.
The work to mill up rough pavement along U.S. 62 will go through the interchange from near the westbound exit and entry ramp ends, extending westward to the traffic signal at Days Inn Drive and the Hucks Travel Center entrance. The crew will also mill the exit ramp from I-24 westbound to U.S. 62.
