Leamy wins Commonwealth’s Attorney race, Pepper retains school board seat

General Election votes in Christian County have been tallied and show that Republican Commonwealth’s Attorney candidate Maureen Leamy prevailed against incumbent write-in candidate Stephanie Bolen, and District Four School Board Representative, Rebecca Pepper will be retaining her seat against write-in candidate Caleb Ballard according to current unofficial election results.

Both the Commonwealth’s Attorney and District Four School Board Representative races were special elections set to fill unexpired terms.

Leamy received 8,648 votes in comparison to 911 votes for Bolen who has been Commonwealth’s Attorney since February. Leamy says she feels humbled by the support she has received and is looking forward to serving the community.

In December 2022, the Christian County School Board unanimously voted for Rebecca Pepper to fill the vacant District Four Representative position. On Tuesday, Pepper received 890 votes from residence in her district and Caleb Ballard came short receiving 248 votes.
