Grand Jury returns indictments for assault, felony theft

A Christian County Grand Jury has returned indictments for assault, felony theft and assault against a police officer.

Indicted for second-degree is 29-year-old Gerisse Chantel Horne of Clarksville, who is accused of intentionally or wantonly causing physical injury to a victim on October 4 by means of a dangerous instrument in Christian County.

Indicted on two counts of third-degree assault against a police officer, fourth-degree assault, criminal mischief, resisting arrest, menacing, alcohol intoxication in a public place and disorderly conduct is 32-year-old Dedrick Brodie of Hopkinsville, who allegedly assaulted two law enforcement officers, caused damage to an Oak Grove Police Department cruiser and allegedly placed other officers and an employee of a casino employee in imminent danger of physical injury on September 24.

Twenty-five-year old Dinae Walker of Nashville was indicted for criminal possession of a forged instrument and theft by unlawful taking more than $10,000, alleging that she knowingly possessed and presented a forged check to Navy Federal Credit Union in the amount of $116,889 on the victims account, with the intent to defraud in April of this year. Walker then reportedly withdrew roughly $15,000 in cash from the victim’s account.
