The Salvation Army has their individuals for the Angel Tree ready to go—so now it’s time for citizens to find an Angel Tree and pick one to help out this holiday season.
Alisa Barton with the Salvation Army says the need is great this year, as roughly 600 people signed up to be put on an Angel Tree.
She says they’re hopeful that people will help them provide a great Christmas season to those most in need in the community, and you can find the Angel Trees in the local Walmart locations, and there will also be other local agencies and businesses involved.
Angel Tree gifts can be for children under the age of 12 and senior citizens over the age of 62. For more information on the Angel Tree program, you can visit the Salvation Army of Hopkinsville on Facebook.
The Red Kettle campaign will also kick-off soon, with the Salvation Army always looking for volunteers to ring the bells and raise money to support their many programs.
