This week’s Jennie Stuart Orthopedic – Michael Venable State Farm Player of the Week is Treston Kay.
Treston is a junior at Hopkinsville High School and is a member of the football team.
This past Friday, in a 49-14 loss to Pleasure Ridge Park, Treston was responsible for all 14 of the Tigers points scoring two touchdowns (one rushing, one receiving) and a two-point conversion.
A game like this would not surprise those who kept up with Hopkinsville football this season, as Treston led the team in both rushing and receiving yards this season.
In an interview with WHOP, Kay explained the beginning of his football journey, playing in Bud Hudson, and how far he’s come.
While in the interview, Treston mentioned his father multiple times and talked about how he’s helped throughout his football career.
Marc Clark, the head coach of HHS football, talked about Kay’s performance this past Friday and how he’s been electric on the field all season.
With one more season left under his belt, Treston plans to have a strong offseason in preparation for a stellar senior season.
