Early voting gets underway, continues through Saturday

Early voting is officially underway across the state of Kentucky, and voters are encouraged to take advantage of the option that lasts through Saturday.

In Christian County, you can vote at the Christian County Senior Citizens’ Center, the Bruce Convention Center and the Walnut Street Center from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and Representative Walker Thomas of Hopkinsville says this is just another way that elections have been made more accessible and modern.

He also says if you see anything you believe might be an election law violation, you can report it to the Attorney General’s Election Fraud Hotline by calling (800) 328-VOTE.

The hotline is always active, recording messages 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. During the early voting period and on election day, the hotline is staffed, and calls are answered from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Early voting is also under way in Trigg County at the Emergency Operations Center, and in Todd County at the Todd County Courthouse those same days of Thursday through Saturday.

All the state constitutional offices are on the ballot—including Governor, Attorney General, State Treasurer, Secretary of State, Auditor and Commissioner of Agriculture. So are a couple of local offices, including Commonwealth’s Attorney and the Christian County School Board District 4 seat.
