Daniel Cameron, fellow republican candidates make Hopkinsville campaign stop

With less than a week before election day in Kentucky, Republican Governor Candidate, Daniel Cameron along with other Republican candidates on the ballot made a campaign pitstop in Downtown Hopkinsville on Wednesday during his Fight for Kentucky Bus Tour.

Along with Cameron was his Lieutenant Governor running mate Robby Mills, Republican Treasurer Candidate Mark Metcalf and wife of United States Senator Rand Paul, Kelly Paul.

Residents gathered and held up signs and wore stickers in support of Cameron as he spoke about what he wants to see in Kentucky and where he believes his opponent and current Governor Andy Beshear has fallen short.

Cameron says this isn’t a race about Republicans versus Democrats but a race between crazy and normal and believes it’s crazy that Beshear would support President Joe Biden.

Cameron says once he and Mills are elected as Governor and Lieutenant Governor, they are going to protect women’s sports from men and protect kids from transgender surgeries.

Paul shared her support for Cameron, saying under his leadership residence will have unalienable rights and not rights that can be taken away from the government like she believes they were during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Cameron concluded by saying this election is about future generations of Kentuckians, and motivated attendees to make their voices heard at the polls on November 7.

Early voting in Kentucky starts on Thursday and continues through Saturday with election officially taking place on November 7.
