Superintendent talks successful bus ‘road-eo’, principal appreciation

The Christian County Public School System Bus “Road-eo” was a success on Saturday, and work continues at the site of the future consolidated high school.

Speaking with WHOP Monday morning, Superintendent Chris Bentzel says they had a good turnout to their bus driver hiring event, with over 20 people taking the chance to drive a school bus and get a feel for it—and they had ten people put in an application that day and he has high hopes that get them squared away on substitute bus drivers.

October is Principal Appreciation Month and Bentzel says the principals in CCPS are top-of-the-line, and he hopes everyone takes a moment to thank them for their hard work and dedication.

The weather hasn’t been great for construction this weekend, and Bentzel says that will probably be at least somewhat true in the coming months, but work will continue on the consolidated high school as much as it can.

Parents are reminded that there is no school for students on November 6—which is acting as a staff growth day—or November 7, which is Election Day. Students will also be released early on Friday.
